How Route & Fleet collects, uses and protects personal data, including cookies, Google AdSense advertising, analytics and your rights under GDPR and CCPA.

This policy explains what personal data Route & Fleet collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have. It applies to this website and to any email correspondence with us.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Nil Masferrer Jiménez, established in Spain. You can reach the data protection contact at contact@routeandfleet.com, or through the contact page by selecting "Privacy or data request", where full publisher identification is also published.
If you are in the EU and believe your data has been handled improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, or with the supervisory authority where you live.
2. What we collect
Information you give us voluntarily
- Contact form submissions: your name, email address, chosen topic and message.
Information collected automatically
- Standard server and log data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and date and time of access.
- Device and interaction data collected through cookies and similar technologies, as described in our cookie policy.
- Local storage values used to remember your colour theme. This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
- Consent records written by the certified consent management platform, including the TCF consent string. These are read by the advertising stack to determine what it may do; they are not used to identify you.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16, and we do not ask for special category data (health, biometrics, political opinions and similar).

4. Advertising: Google AdSense and its partners

5. Analytics
If analytics is enabled on this site, it is used only to understand which articles are read and how people move through the library. IP addresses are anonymised where the tool supports it, and analytics cookies are only set after you consent.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Advertising and measurement providers (Google AdSense and its certified partners) as described above.
- Hosting and content delivery providers who store and serve this website on our behalf.
- Authorities, where we are legally obliged to disclose information.
Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

8. Your rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected, request deletion, and opt out of "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Use the Cookie settings link to opt out of advertising cookies, or contact us to make a formal request. We do not sell personal information for money.
To exercise any right, contact us through the contact page. We respond within one month, and we may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. Security
We use HTTPS across the whole site, restrict administrative access to the people who need it, and keep our build tooling and dependencies patched. No website can promise absolute security, but we take reasonable and proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
10. Links to other sites
Our articles link to vendor documentation, regulators and research sources. Once you follow an external link, that site's privacy policy governs your data. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party website.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on the homepage for at least 30 days.
